We are delighted to introduce our new Champagne ‘Larnaudie-Hirault’.
We sent resident expert Mégane on a trip to her homeland the ‘Champagne’ region to search for a truly special and unique addition to our wine list.
Champagne Larnaudie-Hirault is a family run growers estate otherwise known as a Recoltant-Manipulant which translates as farmer-maker. Located in the Trois-Puits ‘Premier Cru’ village of the Montagne de Reims, its vineyards are within one of the most prestigious areas of Champagne.
The vineyard produces all 3 grape varieties used in Champagne which are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, which are all used evenly in the blend of the Brut Tradition giving it a real freshness and white fruit aromas on the palate.
Every stage of the winemaking process is completed on the estate with a balanced mix of modern and traditional methods. Stainless steel tanks as well as oak barrels are used which result in a great Champagne with finesse and elegance.
Being great believers in the work of the earth, the owners Clarisse and Michael try to minimize the use of phytosanitary and chemical products, respecting mother nature and being as environmentally friendly as possible.
With the high quality terroir and the great care Clarisse and Michael put into their vines, the vineyard produces around 40,000 bottles annually as well as selling juice to some other Grande Marque Champagne houses such as Louis Roederer.
We have imported the Larnaudie Hirault Brut Tradition directly from the vineyard in Champagne, cutting out the ‘middle man’ which means we can pass on great price to our customers.

"Thanks for a hugely enjoyable and informative evening. I couldn’t resist the lure of the wine and so purchased two bottles which I shall no doubt enjoy during my week off!"
